Mr CMK is a 95 year old man with a very enlarged prostate that developed urinary retention in November 2019 and failed repeated trials of void. He was initially scheduled for a HoLEP in April 2020 but this was postponed in light of the outbreak of Covid 19. He finally underwent a successful HoLEP procedure in August 2020. His catheter was removed 2 days after surgery and he was discharged from the hospital 3 days after surgery. His histology was 81 grams of tissue with mainly BPH and a focus of adenocarcinoma Gleason 3+4 grade group 2. He has remained well up to this date. This is his story published in Lianhe Zaobao.
