About the Logo

In 1989, Hald developed a 3-ring diagram to portray benign hyperplastic hyperplasia (BPH) as a syndrome of 3 overlapping, yet distinct, entities: benign prostatic enlargement (BPE), bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Our logo is based on this fundamental concept of BPH.
